How to set up a link to an article

Answer

Sharing Articles and eBooks in the New EBSCO Interfaces

The new EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), EBSCOhost, and Explora interfaces feature several options to share the content you find. Sharing options include the ability to share records to Google Drive or Google Classroom, copy a link to the record, or email the record from the Share window.

To share an article or eBook:

  1. Navigate to an article, eBook, etc. in EDS, EBSCOhost, or Explora that you would like to share.

2. On the detailed record, click the Share icon to open the available sharing options.

3. On the Share window, select one of the sharing options (Google Drive, Google Classroom, OneDrive) or click Create Link to generate a direct link to the item.

Create Link option on Share window

  4. Click the Copy to clipboard button and paste the link into an email, document, etc. to share it.

    Copy to clipboard link

  5. You may also email a link to the item by clicking the Email tab and adding an email address (or addresses).

  6. Click the Send button to send your email.

Please note: Persistent links for individual records are designed to connect users directly to the best available full text version through OpenURL Connection. If the full text isn’t accessible via their affiliated institution, the link will take users to the detailed record page instead.
